Simon Aldridge AIA, Partner

Simon Aldridge is the founding partner of Aldridge & Tanno Architects. Originally from London, he was educated at Winchester College, University College London and Harvard University. Prior to founding his own firm in 1999, Simon gained extensive experience working with Sir Norman Foster and BDP on high profile projects in New York and London, including the The British Museum, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Opera House and the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club at Wimbledon. 

Since founding Aldridge & Tanno Architects, Simon has led the design of an extensive portfolio of projects all over the world.  His work has been exhibited at the Municipal Art Society and the New Museum in New York, and the Royal Institute of British Architects in London.  Simon has been a guest lecturer at Yale University and Pratt Institute.  He is the recipient of the Royal Institute of British Architects Medal for Architecture in Education, a Pollack Krasner Grant, a Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Award, and from the Queen's Anniversary Trust - a Queen's Trust Award.

  Lisa Tanno AIA, Partner

Lisa Tanno spent her childhood in Hawaii, and is a graduate of Punahou School. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a degree in Finance from Wharton Business School.  After a career in banking, she decided to become an Architect and was accepted to the Harvard Design School. She completed her Masters Degree at Harvard, earning a Distinction for her studio work with Pritzker-Prize-winning Architect, Peter Zumthor (CH).  Lisa has lived and worked in New York, London, Hong Kong and Honolulu.  Her work experience with other firms includes designing the Kate Spade boutiques in Hong Kong, Manila and Roppongi, as well as Pratt Institute in New York, which was awarded an American Institute of Architects AIA National Honor Award.

After meeting Simon Aldridge at Harvard, the two founded Aldridge & Tanno Architects.  Marked by a passion for art and design, and a deep knowledge of architecture and interior design, Lisa brings her extensive experience of both commercial and residential projects to the firm.  Her work has been recognized by awards from the Boston Society of Architects and the New York Landmarks Conservancy.
